SITUATION

An event management & promotions company was in need of a system to plan, publicize and promote their events while lessening the administrative workload.

SOLUTION

We designed an easy-to-navigate, drag-and-drop content management system that would allow the organization to easily create, manage and promote their events as well as recruit vendors, sponsors and entertainers.

SUCCESS

The launch of the event management system has revolutionized the way the business operates and has allowed it to automate many of the recruiting, promoting and management activities previously performed by administrative staff.

THE OVERVIEW

Ontario Festival Group (OFG) is an event management company that is committed to bringing communities together through family-friendly festivals and fundraising events for local causes. Their large portfolio of festivals include the Owen Sound Ribfest, Innisfil Ribfest and Wasaga Beach Ribfest.

When OFG first partnered with 44 North Digital Marketing, they were creating entirely new websites for each event they were promoting. As their portfolio continued to expand, this process was no longer a good fit for their business model. Not only was it making work incredibly redundant, but there was no central page that connected all of the event websites.

THE STRATEGY

Our solution was to create an all-in-one event content management system. From event descriptions, schedules, vendor and entertainer profiles, maps and ticket purchasing, we built a specialized website template that allowed for easy drag-and-drop edits.

Call-to-Actions & Lead Generation

Looking to get involved as a vendor, entertainer or sponsor? We created call-to-actions that were integrated with a custom designed marketing automation and customer relationship management system. Not only did this help administer vendor and entertainer onboarding, but we were able to simplify the registration process by minimizing the staff’s involvement.

Once registered, custom profile pages for each entertainer and vendor were created. Complete with bios, images and video, these pages allowed readers to learn more about who would be at each event.

The Results

Introducing the all-in-one event content management system to Ontario Festival Group initiated a huge change in the way they were able to do business. Now, they have the power to build new pages efficiently, independently and with ease so that their focus is on the event itself – not on repetitive web design.

In addition to making the OFG staff’s lives easier, the website has become a platform to build the credibility and gain new business. In fact, it’s now reached the point where the OFG supports so many bands, vendors and entertainers on the website database, that third party companies are reaching out to make bookings.
