A manufacturer and distributor of educational classroom products was looking for an eye catching improvement to their marketing materials in preparation for a new product launch into the US market.

THE OVERVIEW

Kore™ Designs LLC is a manufacturer of wobble chairs for both adults and children. Wobble chairs allow for gentle rocking while sitting which activates core muscle groups. Wobble chairs help children focus in classrooms by providing them with an outlet for their excess energy, especially children with ADHD. Kore™ had patented a new kids wobble chair designed with antimicrobial technology that kills bacteria on the surface of the chair to reduce the spread of classroom illnesses. Discontent with their current marketing materials, Kore™ Designs partnered with 44 Digital Marketing to design an informative and impressive new marketing package.

THE STRATEGY

We developed a creative brief to outline all the steps we were going to take for the client, which included our tight three week turnaround time. Coordinating directly with the company president, the expectations were very high. Kore™ provided us with their existing marketing materials and outlined the improvements they wanted made.

CSM ANALYSIS

44 North took those materials and conducted a Customer Service Market analysis which allowed us to better understand the marketing challenges Kore™ was facing. Through this process we were able to understand more about the product and its unique benefits and identify the target market more clearly.

COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS

The CSM analysis was followed by a competitive analysis so that we could get an understanding of who the other players in the market are and Kore™ could stand out amongst them. We conducted further research on similar antimicrobial products to get a reference point for the messaging we wanted to develop. Similar products were far too clinical for our needs. We were seeking a positive framework to convey trust and safety to the end users, specifically parents and teachers.

DEVELOP MESSAGE

We developed a list of over two dozen taglines for client approval. Once Kore™ selected their slogan, we began designing and developing their marketing package around the slogan “Helping children spread knowledge. Not Germs.”

SURVEY

Once we had developed the branding and messaging, we put them to the test. Focus groups were organized to test the messaging on Kore’s™ target market: parents and teachers. We presented our taglines and receive qualitative feedback on which ones best communicated the message of stopping the spread of bacteria.

PRINT AND GRAPHIC DESIGN

Taking all of our research we began designing and writing Kore’s™ new marketing package. The package included a one page sell sheet, sales presentation in the form of a multipage document, four unique banners which featured a new logo we designed for the product to be used on the Kore™ website, and social media images to be used on Kore’s™ Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
